Head Chef - Award Winning Pub - The Whippet Inn - Kensal Rise
The Whippet Inn is currently recruiting for talented and highly skilled Head Chef with personality & charisma for our expanding group. The Whippet is a local pub in the heart of Kensal Rise, dedicated to producing fantastic food and delivering great service. We pride ourselves on creating an atmosphere that reflects our vibrant neighbouring communities of Kensal Rise, Queens Park and Willesden.
With the best producers and suppliers on our side, we offer modern seasonal food, complimented by an excellent range of local and continental craft beer with a wine list to match.You Are:
- An enthusiastic, dynamic and qualified Head Chef who is ready for a new challenge.
- Able to demonstrate your experience of working with fresh ingredients and seasonal menus.
- Able to demonstrate experience of working in a professional kitchen showing a clear understanding of Health and Safety.
- Able to show a proven track record of managing the kitchen and controlling stock and GP.
- Someone with a background of dealing with high volume.
- Able to show technical skill and attention to detail
- Able to spot and resolve problems efficiently.
- Confident in your communication skills and ability to lead and motivate their teams.
What We’re Looking For:
- Heart-on-your-sleeve leadership: own the role, stay bold, stay calm under pressure
- No ego, just action: roll up your sleeves and get things done
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Head Chef (varies by property)
- Exceptional communication and organisational skills; approachable and hands-on
- Outstanding cooking skills with a passion for frresh food and working with seasonal produce
- An entrepreneurial spark—excited by new ideas and growth
- Passion for people: mentoring, developing, and having fun
