Job Title:

Cleaning Supervisor 

Department: 

Winter Club

Location:

Winter Club, Canary Wharf  

As the Cleaning Supervisor, you will lead the Clean Team to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation across The Winter Club. You will take responsibility for maintaining a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for all guests and staff, ensuring that all areas of the venue meet company standards at all times.

Zero Hour Contract, Flexible working hours. Weekend and evening work is required.  

Event runs November to February 

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the daily operations of the Clean Team to ensure all areas of the venue are maintained to a consistently high standard.
  • Allocate daily cleaning tasks and conduct regular checks to ensure all duties are completed to specification.
  • Ensure guest facilities, including toilets and public areas, are regularly monitored and maintained during service hours.
  • Oversee glass collection, table clearing, and general housekeeping during operating hours.
  • Lead deep cleaning operations before opening and after closing, ensuring safe and efficient completion.
  • Monitor stock levels of cleaning products and materials, placing orders or reporting shortages where necessary.
  • Ensure all Health & Safety, COSHH, and hygiene procedures are followed and recorded accurately.
  • Support team members with training and development to maintain high standards and consistency.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure smooth coordination across the venue.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Complete all required training and ensure team compliance with company standards.
  • Assist with onboarding and performance monitoring of new Clean Team members.
  • Report maintenance issues or hazards promptly and follow up to ensure resolution.

Skills & Experience

Technical:

  • Minimum 2 years of cleaning or housekeeping experience, including supervisory or team leader experience.
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety, COSHH, and cleaning procedures within a hospitality environment.
  • Experience managing cleaning operations in high-volume venues.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.

Personal:

  • Leadership ability with a hands-on, team-focused approach.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
  • Reliable, proactive, and adaptable under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and event hours as required.
  • Confident communication and interpersonal skills.
