What you will be doing as a Shift Engineer:
- Working at various sites in the group including, The Wolseley City, Fischer's and Soutine and other venues when required
- Conducting the general repairs of the electrical, mechanical, air-conditioning/refrigeration, kitchen equipment, plumbing and decoration works
- Ensuring that all PPM works are completed on schedule and compliant with all safety regulations.
- Regular H&S checks including weekly fire alarm tests, emergency lighting, ladders and highchairs checks.
- Reviewing and updating Pronett maintenance web-based platform for issues and prioritising tasks
- Carrying out routine inspections of vital operational machinery, equipment, lighting, and toilets
- Ordering spare-parts and other maintenance consumables within provided budget
- Providing access and assistance for the external contractors
- Liaison with the Engineering Supervisors, Facilities Manager and Head of Facilities and Engineering on any outstanding issues
- Liaison and communication with the General Managers and Head Chefs on general repairs and maintenance
Essential Skills & Requirements as a Shift Engineer
- 2-3 years’ experience within a similar role within the Catering Industry
- Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
- Ability to work under pressure and independently
- Basic computer skills and relevant programs like outlook for communication
- Good communication skills
- Positive attitude
- First Aid & Health & Safety qualifications would be advantageous
- To have a strong general repair skills and knowledge with attention to details
- Demonstrate a strong commitment for completing all works to the highest standard
