About our culture

The Works is such a welcoming place to… well… work!

Our atmosphere is supportive, friendly and inclusive. A second home-from-home where you can be your best and authentic you.

We’ve built an environment that’s busy, always moving, and full of energy. Yet we still make space to share must-watch TV recommendations and our favourite page-turners!

We’re a proactive and hardworking bunch who are dedicated to inspiring and empowering our customers to read, learn, create and play.

It’s the perfect place for people who know how to roll their sleeves up, get creative, and put their passion and imagination to work… we’re people who ‘do’!

If you’re the kind of person who is as ’crafty’, ‘caring’ and ‘can-do’ as we are, then this is the kind of culture for you.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Digital Analyst who can help us optimise our digital channel by spotting trends, hotspots and making recommendations to the wider support departments from trading and merchandising, design and build improvements to customer journey.

You’ll be able to articulate your data in a way non-analytical audiences can understand, so that you gain genuine investment from different stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform investigative analytics in response to commercial questions
  • Investigate trouble spots using GA4, Hotjar and other analytical tools and see where we should make improvements.
  • Work with our Design & Front-End development teams to propose specific improvements we can make.
  • Assist our Design & Front-End development teams to implement specific improvements via A-B testing where needed.
  • Analyse test results and recommend optimisation actions

The sought-after experience we’re seeking

  • Experience in digital analytics from a reporting & insights perspective using various digital analytics suites.
  • Understanding of Conversion Rate Optimisation from using various data points.
  • Understanding of digital conversion funnel including path to purchase and customer journeys.
  • Strong understanding of customer experience and behaviour online.
  • Confident communicator, you will be the trailblazer for data driven decisions and be able to explain complicated terminology in simple terms.
  • Inquisitive by nature, you will need to be able to solve problems and have a passion for data.
  • Experience with digital analytics, using a variety of tools such as Google Tag Manager, G4A and Hotjar
  • Advanced Microsoft Office and presentation skills

Finally, the bit about The Works
