Description

“Great Seafood and Good Times”

At Wright Brothers, we’ve been sourcing and serving exceptional sustainable seafood for over 20 years. What started with our co-founders Ben Wright and Robin Hancock selling oysters has grown into the UK’s leading seafood supplier, Wright Brothers Wholesale, delivering premium seafood to over 500 restaurants across the country.

Today our story continues through our thriving restaurants and our online fishmonger, Wright Brothers at Home, bringing the same quality seafood direct to homes nationwide.

We are proud to operate three restaurants in some of London’s most iconic food destinations: Battersea Power Station, Borough Market and South Kensington.

At Wright Brothers it’s simple: work hard, be nice to people, and be kind to our planet. We believe the world truly is your oyster.

 The Role

As a Senior Chef de Partieyou’ll play a key leadership role within the kitchen team — overseeing your section, supporting junior chefs, and helping deliver the high standards of food quality and consistency that define the Wright Brothers experience.

Working closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef, you’ll take ownership of your section while contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen. You’ll lead by example during service, maintain exceptional standards, and support the development of the wider kitchen team.

You’ll bring strong technical ability, organisation, and a passion for quality ingredients, helping us continue to deliver exceptional seafood and hospitality experiences to every guest.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Take ownership of your kitchen section, ensuring smooth preparation and service at all times

  • Work confidently across all kitchen sections during both prep and service

  • Maintain consistently high standards of food preparation, presentation, and quality

  • Ensure all mise-en-place is completed efficiently and to company standards

  • Support and guide CDP's and Commis Chefs during prep and service

  • Work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to coordinate production, ordering, and service

  • Help train and develop junior kitchen team members to maintain consistency and standards

  • Ensure all food leaving the kitchen is delivered at the correct temperature and presentation standard

  • Monitor stock rotation, storage, and food safety procedures to minimise waste

  • Support stock control, ordering, and cost management within your section

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and health & safety throughout the kitchen

  • Ensure all kitchen procedures and company policies are followed correctly

  • Report maintenance issues and support the safe use of kitchen equipment

  • Contribute ideas and support menu development, production planning, and kitchen organisation

We’re passionate about knowledge and development – whether that’s understanding the story behind our seafood, the provenance of our wines, or the people who supply us.

The Type of Person We’re Looking For

You’re a skilled and organised chef who leads by example in the kitchen. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, take pride in consistency and quality, and enjoy supporting and developing others around you.
