We are seeking a Barista. The Barista at Bastion Café is responsible for delivering a refined, efficient, and hospitality-driven café experience within a luxury corporate environment. This role combines technical coffee knowledge, precision in execution, and elevated guest interaction. The Barista represents the Bastion brand through craftsmanship, consistency, and professional presence while maintaining a fast, polished service flow during peak business hours.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve espresso-based beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with consistency, precision, and speed while maintaining high presentation standards.
  • Execute recipes exactly as written, ensuring proper dial-in, milk texture, temperature control, and latte art standards.
  • Maintain full knowledge of the café menu, including made-to-order beverages and signature blends, and confidently guide guests through selections.
  • Deliver warm, professional, and efficient guest service suited to a corporate membership environment.
  • Manage order flow at the counter while maintaining composure during high-volume periods.
  • Monitor and maintain espresso machine calibration, grinder settings, and daily cleaning protocols.
  • Follow all opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, inventory checks, and station reset.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, pastry display, storage, and back-of-house prep space.
  • Monitor pars for coffee beans, milk, syrups, disposables, and retail items; communicate reorders proactively.
  • Adhere to all health code and food safety standards, including proper milk storage, labeling, and sanitation procedures.
  • Uphold grooming, uniform, and presentation standards in alignment with Bastion brand guidelines.
  • Support building catering and private tenant events through preparation, setup, execution, and breakdown of coffee stations while maintaining Bastion beverage quality standards.
  • Assist with light food assembly, restocking, and guest area maintenance as needed to support overall café operations.

Your Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1–2 years of specialty coffee or high-volume café experience.
  • Strong knowledge of espresso extraction, milk steaming, and equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, hospitality-driven environment.
  • Professional communication skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable operating POS systems and handling transactions accurately.
  • Flexible availability including early mornings and event support.
