Assistant Housekeeping Manager – The Double Red Duke, Clanfield (Near Bampton)

The Double Red Duke in Clanfield, near Bampton, has now been open for four years following an incredible refurbishment. With 19 beautifully decorated bedrooms, we continue to deliver the best night away in the Cotswolds—something we take great pride in. Our consistently excellent guest reviews reflect our dedication to outstanding accommodation, and we are now looking for an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to help us uphold and enhance these high standards.

The Role
We are looking for a passionate and experienced individual to support the Housekeeping Manager and Assistant General Manager in leading our housekeeping team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone currently working as a housekeeping supervisor or senior housekeeper who’s ready to take the next step in their career.

You will be instrumental in helping manage the quality and efficiency of room turnovers, maintaining a high level of cleanliness, and ensuring that every guest has an exceptional stay.

Reporting to: Housekeeping Manager and Assistant General Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping team.

  • Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation across all guest rooms and public areas.

  • Help lead, motivate, and support the housekeeping team, fostering a positive and professional working environment.

  • Monitor quality control and help implement improvements to increase efficiency and consistency.

  • Encourage a culture of ownership and accountability within the team.

  • Support training and development of team members.

Skills & Qualities Required:

  • Previous experience in housekeeping at a supervisory level or higher.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and high standards of work.

  • Strong communication and team leadership skills.

  • Good level of English.

  • Organised, proactive, and passionate about hospitality.
