Just round the corner on the infamous Denmark Street where the Sex Pistols lived, the Rolling Stones recorded and David Bowie started his first band, sits The Lower Third - a neighbourhood bar and fiercely independent grass roots music venue championing emerging talent and the unbridled spirit of rock&roll; with a world class cocktail bar and 200 capacity basement club.

We are looking for an experienced Cocktail Bartender to join us on an adventure that promises total immersion in music and events - with a bunch of like-minded, creatively driven and passionate people obsessed with creating unforgettable memories that last a lifetime.

About the role

You will be part of The Lower Third cocktail bar team reporting to the Assistant Bar Managers and Bar Manager. 

You will be expected to:

·      Craft cocktails and all other beverage offerings ensuring consistency and standards of hotel quality

·      Contribute creatively to menu developments and cocktail specials under the guidance of the bar management team

·      Prepare the bar for service prior to opening, following par levels of spirits, cocktail batches and mise-en-place.

·      Work fast and efficiently whilst maintaining a clean environment

·      Maintain high standards of hygiene and organization according to cleaning schedules during service, set-up and break-down

·      Take and deliver beverage orders, issuing and collecting payments using a POS system, both behind the bar and on the floor

·      Work as a team to achieve targets whilst contributing to a supportive and fun working environment 

About you

You will need to have relevant experience in cocktail bars, have high service standards, a strong classic cocktail knowledge along with an interest in spirits production and history.

You will need to be committed in your approach to work, be able to keep calm and

calculated under pressure and possess an acute attention to detail.
