About us;
We have launched three brand new entertainment venues in the very centre of London; breathing live music back into Soho and ushering in a new era for Denmark Street - the iconic birthplace of British counterculture.
Four levels below ground, and right next to Tottenham Court Road tube station, we have created HERE - a cutting edge 1800 capacity space to host incredible live concerts, club nights, comedy, arts and culture; alongside high profile events, launches, fashion shows and film screenings.
Just round the corner on the infamous Denmark Street where the Sex Pistols lived, the Rolling Stones recorded and David Bowie started his first band, sits The Lower Third - a neighbourhood bar and fiercely independent grass roots music venue championing emerging talent and the unbridled spirit of Rock & Roll; with a cafe, world class cocktail barand 250 capacity basement club.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Venue Manager to join us as we build on our current team.
About the job;
As The Lower Third Venue Manager you will work with the other Lower Third managers to make
sure that the day-to-day business is run in an efficient and profitable way, achieving operational
objectives as well as quality and customer satisfaction targets. You will assist in managing,
developing, and motivating a team of staff to create a nourishing work environment and deliver
memorable guest experiences across a variety of events.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to;
· Preapare events in advance following forecasting and strategic planning across the teamsincluding security, box office, bar, floor and production.
· Assist in event planning process, adhering to licensing stripulations and house polices and procedures.
· Act as the main point of contact for promoters, clients, staff and guests on Live events days.
· Maintain a close and professional realationship with, programming teams, event promoters, production and all their contractal entitlements.
· Be responsible for the entire event delivery from load in to load out
· Hire, inspire, train, upskill and mentor employees at to help them acieve their developmental goals.
· Alongside other management maintain control of operating costs and budgeting deliverin on operational, financial and departmental targets
· Complete event and dynamic risk assesments where necessary to ensure appropriate and relevant security protocol, and day to day running of the venue.
· Admin duties including but not limited to, rota building, staff scheduling, nightly reports/ settlemets, stock control and reporting
About the job;
You will need some experience in event and/or club management, in a variety of, or comparable
venues; along with a good understanding of POS systems, licensing, health & safety, staff
scheduling and training. However, the most important quality in a candidate is a passion for
music and nightlife, and contributing to a memorable experience for our guests, artists, and
clients.
