Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Kitchen Porter to join The Lowry Hotel, Manchester’s iconic five-star hotel.

Reporting directly to the Chief Steward, you will work closely with the Senior Stewards throughout your shift. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and presentation across the back-of-house areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out back-of-house cleaning duties in accordance with established cleaning schedules and hotel standards.
  • Maintain excellent levels of hygiene and cleanliness at all times.
  • Remove food waste and rubbish at agreed intervals and in line with required health, safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Support the Food & Beverage team by ensuring equipment and other requirements are provided promptly when needed.
  • Complete allocated duties efficiently and to a consistently high standard.
  • Work independently and use your initiative when carrying out tasks, particularly during periods when you are working unsupervised.
  • Assist other members of the team when required and contribute positively to the smooth running of the operation.
  • Follow all hotel procedures relating to health, safety, hygiene, and cleanliness.

The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, a professional approach, and a strong team spirit. You will be organised, reliable, and able to work independently using your own initiative, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. A genuine passion for service excellence, along with flexibility to work a five-day-out-of-seven shift pattern, including weekends and varying shifts, is essential.

Please note, this is a casual position, with shifts and working hours varying according to business needs.
