Overview

The Housekeeping Office Coordinator serves as a central point of communication and organization within the housekeeping department, ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of daily operations. This role supports both the housekeeping team and wider hotel departments by managing administrative tasks, coordinating room assignments, and maintaining accurate records.

The general purpose of the role is to facilitate a high standard of cleanliness and guest satisfaction by ensuring that housekeeping services are delivered in a timely, fair, and well-organized manner. The coordinator acts as a liaison between supervisors, room attendants, porters, and front office staff, ensuring that all service requests, room status updates, and operational changes are communicated clearly and promptly.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing Room Attendant lists to prepare and print.
  • Awareness of Daily Events; Facilities Updates and Product to provide accurate information to our guests on call
  • Housekeeping Supervisors lists to make – ensure all have fair & equal.
  • Reports preparations & printing: (preference forecast, no shows, late departures)
  • Address guests' service needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner.
  • Answering phone calls on hotel main line and direct them where needed with an appropriate and professional manner.
  • Updating Guest Profiles: Emails; Address; Phone numbers; etc.
  • Keep the supervisors informed with all the changes (room move, late departure, priority rooms, extended stays).
  • Maintain a good & prompt communication with the supervisors, porters, and other departments.
  • Keep the evening supervisor informed about all changes, (Room moves, housekeeping service requests, mini bar removed).
  • Check with the porters if the cardboard was processed.
  • Handling small queries via email such us guest invoices, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of opera preferred.
  • Perform any other reasonable request made by management.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a guest-focused approach.

  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
  • Flexible and responsive to management requests and operational needs.

Working Conditions

  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, holidays, and evenings, as required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
