Description

We're seeking a passionate Health Club Manager to lead our Health Club at Theobald's Hotel. In an exciting period of growth and refurbishment of the site- you will be at the heart of developing and growing the Health Club division of the business- including implementation and set up of systems, procedures and service standards. You should be comfortable setting up operations from scratch- creating and evolving processes as the business grows.

The Health Club Manager will ensure that the Hotel's health club provides exceptional Customer Service to all guests, ensuring that quality standards are maintained whilst achieving maximum revenue and guest satisfaction.  The Health Club Manager leads the Health Club team, including leisure, fitness and wellness teams, ensuring the facilities- gym, pool, brand new Paddl courts, Cryo-therapy, Vitamin replacement and wellness treatment rooms, are maintained in great condition and available to our guests and members. 

With the site under  full re-development,  relaunching and regenerating the leisure facilities in full- it's an exciting time to join the hotel to lead the Health Club team- 'Ownership with Personality'!

Main Duties of Health Club Manager Role:

  • To manage all Health Club operations, classes, PTs, and rota-ing to ensure Guest service levels are maintained and facilities available at all opening times
  • Leadership and development of your Team, including managing, leading and recruiting- instructors, PTs, contractors and therapists.
  • Ensure the rota is arranged to meet the needs of the Business and diary plans
  • Managing budgets and KPIs- including treatment sales, retail growth and membership add-ons
  • Pro-actively grow Health Club membership and income streams
  • To anticipate guests’ needs wherever possible and promote them within the Hotel and local community enhancing guest satisfaction.
  • To positively approach all sales opportunities in order to maximize club membership and Hotel revenue to meet and exceed budgeted targets.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 3 years Hospitality and Leisure management experience.
  • Passion for fitness and leisure industry with awareness of current wellness and fitness trends
  • Lifeguard qualification, First Aid Qualification, Pool Responder and Pool Plant Qualification highly advantageous
  • NVQ Level 3 or YMCA Gym Instructor qualifications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills
