Third Space hosts twelve of London’s luxury health clubs across inspiring central London locations. All clubs are individual in style and bound by a common philosophy; to provide outstanding fitness spaces that our members feel are their own. We are committed to ensuring outstanding quality and excellence in every area of our offering and making continuous improvements to our member experience; this is where we need you, a passionate and dedicated Facilities Management professional to join us in a Head of Facilities role.

 

This position forms part of our Senior Leadership Team and is crucial in maintaining our clubs and ancillary properties to an exceptional standard, ensuring compliance with the highest Health & Safety procedures. Reporting to the Property Director, you will lead a dedicated in-house team, manage external suppliers and contractors, and collaborate with club operations teams to achieve quality, cost-effectiveness, speed, and efficiency.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, tender, and manage key contractors and suppliers for facilities and property services.
  • Develop service schedules for statutory and legislative requirements, ensuring legal compliance.
  • Manage budgets, control costs, and continuously improve service quality for the clubs.
  • Implement business-wide changes to maintain legal and statutory compliance.
  • Foster a collaborative approach across the business for all Facilities-related matters.
  • Audit and report on completed works, ensuring quality, time, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Prepare and report to the Executive team on pending or future facility changes.
  • Lead the development of a property-based FM system, ensuring stakeholder alignment.
  • Set up, implement, and oversee processes for receipt and administration of quoted works.
  • Oversee minor works projects from inception to completion.
  • Stay ahead of industry standards, ideas, and innovations, reporting findings to the business.

 

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Extensive experience in a Senior Facilities Management role.
  • Preferably experience in a premium multi-site environment (retail, hospitality, leisure).
  • Direction of technical engineering teams and external suppliers/consultants.
  • Detailed technical specification writing and contract administration.
  • Proven project management in live operating environments.
  • Comprehensive Health & Safety and energy management expertise.
  • Strategic thinking with exceptional budget management skills.
  • Membership of RICS, CIOB, or BIFM preferred.
