Kitchen Porter - £14-15/hour OTE (Including tronc)

We’re looking for a Kitchen Porter to join the team at The Thomas Cubitt.  As a Kitchen Porter, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the chefs and ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently. Your work helps create the foundation for great food and exceptional service, making you an essential part of the Cubitt House experience. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment at all times. 
  • Wash and store all kitchen equipment, utensils, and crockery to the highest standard. 
  • Assist chefs with basic food preparation when required. 
  • Ensure deliveries are checked, stored, and rotated correctly. 
  • Manage waste and recycling in line with Cubitt House sustainability practices. 
  • Support the smooth running of kitchen service through teamwork and reliability. 
  • Uphold all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations. 

Skills & Experience 

  • Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or in a similar back-of-house role is beneficial but not essential. 
  • A strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude. 
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail. 
  • A team-focused approach with a willingness to support others. 
  • Reliability, punctuality, and pride in maintaining high standards. 
  • Full Right to Work in the UK.

  • You will show willingness to learn new skills, be an active team player with excellent communication skills
  • Be working alongside your kitchen team and will be able to demonstrate your creativity and ability by helping to deliver top quality service
  • Demonstrate great planning and organisational skills to complete day to day tasks
