Hotel General Manager - The Three Swans Hotel, Hungerford

The Role

We are seeking an inspiring, commercially minded and hands-on General Manager who is passionate about hospitality, people and guest experience. You will lead the overall operation of the hotel, ensuring every guest receives a warm, memorable and authentic welcome while driving strong commercial performance across rooms, food & beverage, weddings and events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire the hotel team to deliver exceptional guest experiences
  • Drive commercial performance across accommodation, food & beverage and events
  • Maintain high operational standards throughout all departments
  • Build a strong people-focused culture centred around teamwork and hospitality from the heart
  • Oversee recruitment, training, development and performance management
  • Maximise revenue opportunities while controlling costs and delivering profitability
  • Develop the hotel’s reputation within the local community and wider region
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety and company standards
  • Support the continued growth of weddings, meetings and local events business

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience as a Hotel General Manager or senior operational leader
  • Possesses strong food & beverage knowledge alongside accommodation expertise
  • Is commercially aware with experience managing budgets and driving revenue
  • Leads by example with a visible and hands-on management style
  • Has outstanding people leadership and communication skills
  • Is passionate about delivering genuine hospitality and memorable guest experiences
  • Understands the importance of community, heritage and local character
