Reports to: General Manager/Assistant General Manager
Qualification Standard: Must have a minimum (6) six months employment with TL Cannon Management Companies. Obtain Director of Operations approval. Completes all position training, testing with a minimum score of 100% in area of strength (FOH or BOH). Has Completed Position Training in one position opposite of Strength Area to 100%. Overall performance evaluation of a Can/Will. Has completed Expert Training Camp. Completes Key Employee (20 day) training program, and all related projects and assignments.
Specific Functions and Duties:
1. Manages Restaurant Environment
A. Ensures prompt, friendly service according to company guidelines.
B. Directs activities and performance of associates on a shift by shift basis.
C. Perpetuates TLCC culture using the Vision / Mission statement.
D. Ensures immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff. Refers all verbal and written guest complaints to GM/AGM.
E. The ability to receive product, to identify freshness to company standards and insure invoice accuracy.
F. Ensures guest contact as a priority with self, utilizing a target goal of 100% table visitation.
G. Enforces Responsible Alcohol awareness on a shift to shift basis.
H. Ensures product preparation and presentation uncompromisingly meeting company standards.
I. Corrects unsafe practices or conditions.
J. Maintains effective safety and security programs according to company policy and government standards.
K. Promotes and manages restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation on a clean as you go basis on Open shifts as well as Middle Shifts and Closes.
L. Promptly and properly completes all daily paperwork and assignments.
M. Communicates with other managers daily through management log and shift change meetings.
N. Completes all assigned duties and responsibilities.
O. Performs routine maintenance and immediately informs GM/AGM of needed repairs.
2. Manages Associate Performance
A. Makes job assignments on a daily basis.
B. Monitors acceptable associate performance and documents situations that require or could lead to Disciplinary or corrective action. Communicates progressive discipline issues when appropriate to management team for action.
C. Acts as coach to all associates.
D. Demonstrates proper execution of training systems as outlined by the company while emphasizing the importance of training to associates.
3. Maintain Controls.
A. Assists in maintaining and controlling labor, food and beverage costs according to company goals.
B. Assures the compliance with the local, state, and federal laws, regulations and guidelines.
C. Complies with all cash handling procedures.
4. Development
A. Is guest focused and promotes the staff to be.
B. Demonstrates organizational skills.
C. Completes all assignments and duties properly and on schedule.
D. Acts as a role model for all associates.
E. Exhibits a professional image.
F. Develops goals and action plans for personal/professional growth.
