The role 

The Reception Manager will oversee the front desk operations to ensure exceptional guest and visitor experiences. This role involves managing the reception team, coordinating with other departments, and maintaining smooth, professional service delivery at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead the reception team, providing guidance, training, and support

  • Ensure a warm, welcoming, and efficient reception experience for all guests and visitors

  • Manage the daily front desk operations, including check-ins, check-outs, and guest inquiries

  • Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to resolve issues promptly

  • Handle guest complaints and feedback professionally to ensure satisfaction

  • Maintain reception area appearance, ensuring it is clean and organized

  • Oversee reservations, appointment scheduling, and visitor registration processes

  • Prepare and manage shift schedules to ensure adequate front desk coverage

  • Monitor and report on reception performance metrics and customer feedback

  • Implement and uphold health, safety, and security standards at the front desk

  • Manage administrative tasks such as record-keeping, billing, and reporting

Requirements

  • Proven experience in reception management or a similar supervisory role

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

  • Proficiency in front desk software and reservation systems

  • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and efficiently

  • Professional appearance and demeanor

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays

  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to front office operations
