Nici Hotels was founded in 2021 and is part of Nicolas James Group. It operates The Nici, an exciting new five-star hotel concept located on the West Cliff in Bournemouth, Dorset. It also operates two luxury wedding and events venues in Hampshire and Surrey, and a village pub on the outskirts of Winchester. In addition, the Group has recently purchased the Hotel Victoria in Newquay which will undergo a substantial rebrand and open later in 2025. There are plans to extend the number of venues in the Group to 10 over the next few years.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious fully-qualified accountant with a proven track record in running a finance function. They must be willing to take a hands on approach, with a view to growing the finance team and processes as we continue to expand our operations.
Key duties:
- Managing the day-to-day finance function for the Nici Hotel Group with the finance team
- Production of monthly management accounts, annual budgets and rolling forecasts
- Analysis of variances between actual and forecasted/budgeted performance
- Develop and maintain sound financial controls and processes
- Production of daily and weekly sales/wages/P&L reporting
- Produce and transmit the monthly payroll via payroll bureau.
- Management of the annual audit process
- Ensure the company complies with statutory requirements, including the submission of VAT returns.
- Business partnering the General Manager of the hotel, pub, and wedding venues
- Support the Group CFO and Company Managing Director with ad hoc tasks as required.
Qualifications and experience:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Strong Excel skills
- Accounts Package - Sage200
- Hotel Systems – MEWs/Lightspeed/Tevalis/Trybe/Procure Wizard/Sevenrooms/Giftpro
Location: The Nici Bournemouth, West Hill Road, Bournemouth, Dorset, BH2 5EJ with some core days each month at head office in Town Quay, Southampton.
Salary: depending on experience
Holiday: 23 days (plus Bank Holidays) increasing by 1 day per year up to 25 days
