Head Chef Vacancy

We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team here at the Trearddur Bay Hotel. If you love working with fresh, seasonal ingredients and take pride in delivering high-quality food, this could be the ideal opportunity.

Our hotel is set in a stunning coastal location, right on the beach in Trearddur Bay. We’ve got 47 bedrooms – many with sea views and balconies – and we’re known just as much for our food and hospitality as for the scenery.

We offer a range of dining experiences:

  • The Inn at the Bay – our relaxed pub, serving comforting classics and seasonal dishes.

  • The Bay Restaurant & Bar – a more refined menu with a focus on freshly prepared, local produce.

  • 1828 Bar Gardd a Chegin – our lively garden pop-up with a street food twist, ideal for summer service.

  • We also host weddings, private parties and events, which gives plenty of variety day to day.

We’re looking for someone who can lead from the front, inspire the team, and maintain high standards during busy service, and we’re keen to work with someone who brings ideas, energy, and a genuine love of food.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a senior kitchen role.

  • Strong leadership skills and a calm, hands-on approach.

  • A passion for quality, consistency, and fresh, seasonal cooking.

  • Someone who enjoys working in a team and takes pride in what they do.

  • Ensure that excellent stock control practices are maintained

  • Mentor and develop your team, passing on your skills, knowledge and experience
  • Be the creative genius behind the in-house specials
  • You will lay the ground rules and have overall responsibility over daily operations within the kitchen ensuring you and your team achieve 5* Scores on the doors
