Job description – Human Resources Administrator

Job Title: Human Resources Administrator 

Department: A&G 

Responsible To: Director of Human Resources/HR Generalist 

Type of Contract: Fixed Term 

Liaises with: All Departments 

MAIN DUTIES 

The HR Administrator’s duties include updating internal employee databases, data entry, filing HR documents, screening resumes, initiating background checks on shortlisted candidates. You should also be able to work independently, work in an MS office, and have interpersonal skills. 

To be a successful HR Administrator, you should remain aware of the latest developments in company policies. Ultimately, an outstanding HR Administrator should be able to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills, with high attention to detail. 

The HR Administrator is expected to: 

Post job advertisements on job boards and social media platforms. 

Screening resumes and schedule interviews with potential shortlisted candidates. 

Be the liaison person for staff accommodation and transport. 

Employee Lockers area to be checked. 

Name badges to be issued to all Associates. 

Uniforms - Order, issue, associated admin. update master log. 

Uniform personal presentation standards procedure signed and update records. 

HR Notifications updates. 

Admin support during VIP visits. 

Filing - File all documents in relation to Associates in relevant file 

Leave report – excel sheet logging certified and uncertified absences. 

Garda Vetting for Junior Clubhouse Associates & related admin. 

Create employee file for all new recruits.

Send job offers and rejection letters to candidates. 

Attend all required meetings and take minutes as necessary. 

Knowledge of and compliance with all Emergency procedures. Reports unsafe conditions, as appropriate. Maintain a professional and friendly relationship with other departments, team members and guests. 

HEALTH & SAFETY 

To fulfil your obligations under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1989 and any revisions or additional legislation made thereto. 

Knowledge of local and company hygiene, health and safety regulations 

To ensure that reasonable care is taken for the health and safety of yourself, other employees, guests and any other person on the premises. 

To keep your work area clean, tidy and safe and report any hazard, accident, loss or damage to management. 

To be aware of trained first-aid personnel on the premises and have knowledge of the location of first aid boxes/fire extinguishers/alarms. 

To observe all safety rules and procedures, including those laid down in the Health & Safety Statement for your place of work. 

To carry out and promote fire and accident drills as directed by the hotel safety officer. 

OTHER DUTIES

QUALIFYING CRITERIA 

Comply with the company rules, regulations and provisions contained in the employment handbook. Minimum one-year experience of working in an office environment. 

Basic understanding of labour laws. 

Must have the ability to work as part of a team. 

Should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

Excellent administrative and organisational skills. 

Effective communication skills. 

A resilient person who has the ability to work well under pressure.
