Job Title: Guest Services Attendant
Department: Operations / Front of House
Reports To: Guest Services Supervisor / Guest Services Assistant Manager / Guest Services Manager
Main Purpose of the Job: The Guest Services Attendant is responsible for delivering a warm and professional welcome to
guests while ensuring a smooth arrival and departure experience. This role plays an important
part in creating a memorable stay by assisting with luggage handling, escorting guests to their
rooms, providing a room orientation, and providing information about the resort, its facilities, and
the surrounding area.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Guest Arrival and Departure
Welcome guests upon arrival with a friendly and professional attitude.
Assist with luggage handling, tagging, and transportation to guest rooms.
Escort guests to their accommodation and explain room features and hotel facilities.
Assist departing guests with luggage and transportation arrangements.
Ensure efficient delivery and collection of group luggage when required.
Guest Assistance
Provide information about the property, amenities, and local attractions.
Respond to guest requests in a prompt and courteous manner.
Deliver newspapers, amenities, or other requested items to guest rooms.
Support guests with directions, transportation, and general enquiries.
Valet and Concierge Support
Operate a parking valet service.
Assist Concierge and Front Desk Associates with guest needs.
Support other departments including but not limited to: Housekeeping, Dining, Golf, and Front Desk when required.
Customer Service
Maintain a friendly, helpful, and professional demeanour at all times.
Handle guest queries or minor concerns efficiently and escalate issues when necessary.
Ensure guests feel welcomed and supported throughout their stay.
Safety and Security
Follow and implement hotel safety and security procedures at all times.
Report any suspicious activity or concerns to the supervisor or management.
Assist with guest safety during emergency procedures or evacuations.
Operational Duties
Arrive on duty on time and in correct uniform and grooming standards.
Participate in training programs as required.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the lobby, entrance areas, and luggage storage areas.
Qualifying Criteria
Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is an advantage.
Positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication and guest service skills.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Full clean driving licence may be required for valet services.
Comfortable handling luggage and assisting guests with golf clubs or equipment.
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
