Job Title:                                   Junior Clubhouse Attendant

Responsible To:                      Director of Member services

Type of Contract:                   Seasonal - Fixed Term

Main Purpose of Job:            Ensures a safe, fun and interactive environment for children using the Junior Clubhouse (Kids Club).

Liaises with:                            Front Desk, Concierge, Attachè, Food and Beverage

MAIN DUTIES

• Arrive to work on time, appropriately groomed and in the correct uniform.

• Maintain a log of children being checked in and out of the Junior Clubhouse.

• Prepare Junior Clubhouse according to weekly plans of care.

• Follow the Daily Schedule.

• Develop and implement appropriate activities for the children.

• Supervise children at all times for safety and health concerns.

• Arrange and maintain the classroom environment.

• Maintain required materials and equipment in the Club. Notify the Manager of items that should be repaired or replaced.

• Actively participate in associate meetings as required.

• Participate in professional development opportunities as required.

• Share knowledge from training opportunities with other staff members.

• Serve as a role model for other staff members, as well as children.

• Work as a team member toward establishing goals.

• Notify security and ensure incident reports are complete whenever an accident or injury occurs to children. Provide a signed copy to the Manager

• Inform the Manager of any changes/challenges involving the operation of the Junior Clubhouse.

• Keep count of children in the Junior Clubhouse.

• Maintain order amongst the children.

• Assist all children to the restroom.

• Supervise the children's snacks and refreshments.

• Maintain food stations in accordance with Health Department Codes.

• Make sure toys and games are clean and sanitary.

• Ensure children are supervised until the parent or legal guardian shows proper I.D. and signs them out.

• Ensure that the Junior Clubhouse is opened on time in the morning and is closed properly at the end of the day.

• Follow opening and closing procedures.

• Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel which can include day, evening or weekend shifts

QUALIFYING CRITERIA

• Completed Tusla child protection course an advantage however this training will be provided for the successful applicant if not already in place.

• All Junior Clubhouse Associates are subject to Garda clearance.

• Previous customer service and childminding experience an advantage.

• Positive and friendly attitude, cheerful and courteous demeanour.

• Good organisational skills.

• Reliable and adaptable team player

• Excellent communication skills.

• Ability to work flexible hours.

• First Aid training is a plus.

• Ability to remain calm whilst under pressure.
