Position Scope
To ensure the achievement of departmental and the Resorts strategic goals, assist in the service delivery of a quality food & beverage products to customers. To be able to run a small event without supervision, to assist in the development of food & beverage products, services and training across the Resort. To assist in the smooth running and supervision of small to large banqueting events ranging from 5 to 500 guests. To action guests’ requests, enhance the guest experience and to resolve and guests’ problems. This position will be required to support across multiple outlets, and will involve set-up and operation of audio visual services.
Essential Functions
To project a pleasant and positive professional image to all contacts at all times
Supervise and lead the team during set-up, service, and teardown, under direction of the Assistant Banqueting Manager
Allocate tasks to the team to ensure all duties are carried out thoroughly and on time
Accurately and timely execute events, exactly as specified on Banqueting Event Orders
Continually coach team members, reward high performance and manage underperformance accordingly. Support the onboarding and training of new team members
Exhibit strong customer service skills at all times, be the point of contact for the event organiser, and handle any customer complaints with confidence and accuracy
Provide excellent luxury service to all guests
Take ownership of the set-up and operation of audio visual services such as microphone with PA, music, and screen/projector presentations.
Position Requirements
Must be eligible to work in the UK.
Must be able to communicate comfortably in both, written and spoken English.
Previous experience in a similar banqueting, bar, or restaurant environment is essential.
Previous experience in a supervisory role is highly desirable.
Previous experience working across different outlets and/or service styles is desired.
