Under the guidance of the Golf Operations Supervisor, you will maintain the highest standards of professionalism in all aspects of Golf’s operations and assist in maintaining the smooth running of the Golf Department.
Ensure each guest is warmly welcomed to the Clubhouse by greeting guests before they reach the front steps and opening doors for guests.
Assist guests with their luggage and golf bags when they arrive at the front door in their car.
Golf Concierge establishes the guest's name and if they are here to play golf or to use the facilities.
Provide guests with verbal signage to all necessary areas of the Golf Department and assist on the Golfer’s Journey.
Where appropriate, escort guests to the entrance of the main Clubhouse foyer.
Establish if the Golfers have hired items requested and coordinate with the Golf Concierge Team to have these ready for the guest when they reappear from the Clubhouse.
Assist with Tour Op buses. Greet the guests as they leave the bus first, then help with the luggage and golf bags - Should this be golf clubs or is luggage correct?. Manage the traffic of Tour Op buses and ensure no buses are parked in front of the main doors for longer than 15 minutes. Longer drop-offs and pickups must happen in the layby and any long-term parking must be done at the Caddie Shack car park, not in the main car park.
Confirm the arriving guest’s caddie requirements and coordinate the information with the CaddieMaster team
Maintain the storage of golf bags at the front door in game order, both before and after play, to ensure a clear understanding of whose bags belong to whom.
Ensure constant communication with the 1st tees, CaddieMaster, Ranger, Locker Room and Professional Shop staff. Radios with earpieces should be in use at all times.
Time the games as they come off the course for future reference and to highlight any blockages immediately to the Ranger and Professional Shop.
Where appropriate, monitor the TagMarshal system and communicate with the Course Ranger to ensure any relevant action takes place
Inform guests of the club storage and drying facilities available in the Clubhouse and the limitations surrounding this in the hotel.
Must be eligible to work within the UK.
Demonstrate a professional manner at all times, particularly with regards to punctuality and manners.
Must be willing to adhere to the immaculate grooming policy and strict uniform standards
Communicate effectively and clearly, using positive speech and body language at every opportunity.
Previous experience within a golf or leisure environment is preferred but not essential.
A strong desire to work within the leisure industry is essential
Suitable, relevant experience in 5 star resort/hotel. Or in dealing with the public.
