Tuxedo Hospitality is a New York City based hospitality group. The group currently features Chinese Tuxedo, Peachy's and The Tyger in its portfolio with more venues to come! In 2016, Tuxedo Hospitality started with the opening of Chinese Tuxedo in the heart of Chinatown. 

Chinese Tuxedo is an award-winning contemporary Chinese restaurant located within a 19th Century opera house on Manhattan’s Chinatown historic Doyers St. Having opened in 2016 to packed dining rooms and critical acclaim, we have continued to grow exponentially each year. We are in need of strong team members to join in continuing our growth. We value promoting from within and creating opportunities for our team members to grow based on their strengths.

Benefits:

  • 15 days paid annual leave inclusive of annual salary. Annual leave is accrued pro rata and can be compensated after completion of a 90-day probationary period.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in driving a world class and best in category restaurant operation
  • Continue to grow, develop and train a high-performance team
  • Actively find sustainable growth opportunities for the business
  • Be an ambassador and champion of team culture and guest experience
  • Leading to achieve and maintain the highest level of standards across all departments throughout all points of service
  • Open and Close of business, cash reconciliation, tip-pool reconciliation and reporting
  • Delegation of FOH opening and closing checklists, as well as daily positions
  • Ensure staffing levels are accurate and sustainable
  • Ensure Venue Ambience and Presentation are aligned with the venue’s conceptual vision
  • Maintain DOH and SLA compliance at all times
  • Connect and collaborate with all members of the Chinese Tuxedo leadership team on all operations
  • Train and develop all frontline FOH staff team members
  • Manage performance issues and mediate disputes internally
  • Ensure the health, safety and welfare of all employees
  • Allocate sufficient resources for the practicable elimination or control of workplace hazards/associated risks in order to maintain a safe working environment and safe systems of work.
  • Promptly and effectively deal with occupational injury and illness through active involvement in the return-to-work process. All incidents to be investigated and corrective action implemented.
