A Tyneside icon for more than 90 years, The Tynemouth Castle Inn is the new name for the Park Hotel. Sitting in a commanding position overlooking the sprawling Longsands Beach, the art deco style building has been completely renovated, offering 72 bedrooms and suites, a pub restaurant with 250 internal and 300 external covers, a fish and chip takeaway and an ice cream and coffee parlour, providing the ultimate seaside stay.

The Tynemouth Castle Inn is now looking to recruit a General Manager.

The Inn Collection Group is a multi award winning pubs with rooms company in outstanding locations across the North of England and Wales. As an ICG General Manager you will be responsible for the full site operation including driving sales and managing your team across departments and multiple cost centres, and becoming the ambassador for the Inn Collection Group brand, values and mission. The Tynemouth Castle Inn is a historic venue in a very high footfall location which will need an experienced General Manager to facilitate high volume covers whilst maintaining  standards and promoting exceptional customer service throughout all departments.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Exceptional guest care delivered both personally and through your team
  • Direct line responsibility for the senior team of assistant managers, head chef and head housekeeper
  • Commercial performance of the business.
  • Planning, budgeting and cost control in line with agreed budgets
  • Establish, train, and nurture the team to deliver against our ICG values.
  • Guest satisfaction levels

Key Skills and Experience

  • Be highly motivated with a focus on customer service.
  • Have a strong food background and hospitality will be at the forefront of their demeanour.
  • Create, review, and implement business procedures.
  • Manage financial budgets.
  • Continuous Self Development
  • Hold a valid Personal License.
  • Understand P&L accounts including labour planning.
  • Take care of company expenditure and bills.
  • Be able to lead, hire, train, assess, manage, and motivate staff.
