“Off the Hook” Oswin’s Fish and Chip Shop has landed at The Tynemouth Castle Inn. The new North East Chippy will open its doors this Autumn under the Tynemouth Castle Inn umbrella and we are looking for a brand new team front of house team. Working under the Food Retail Unit Manager, The Fish and Chip Shop Front of House Team Member will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service and efficient productivity.

Oswin’s is situated facing out to sea, in a separate unit designed to operate as a takeaway, and directly in front of the Inn’s extensive beer garden where customer will be able to sit and enjoy their fish and chips. 

A successful Fish & Chip Shop Front of House team member will:

• Preferably be someone with previous experience working in a customer-facing role – Ideally in a takeaway food environment.
• Be enthusiastic and passionate about food & people.
• Deliver excellent customer service and great teamwork in a fast-paced and pressurised environment.
• Be someone who can deliver the experiences they would like to receive themselves.

Fish & Chip Shop Front of House team member will duties include:

• Meeting and greeting customers
• Taking food and drink orders
• Packing food and drink orders
• General duties to add value to customer experience
• Working with the Oswin’s team to deliver great food
• Taking payment efficiently
• Being supportive and proactive with your team
• Maintain a clean working station whilst adhering to health & safety standards
• Anything else that makes a memorable visit for our customers.
