Urban Pubs & Bars was founded in 2014 by Nick Pring and Malcolm Heap and has since expanded to an estate of over 67 pubs, bars and restaurants across London.

Our ethos focuses on acquiring the best sites in the right locations and recruiting exceptional talent who are as passionate about food and drink as we are. We were then nominated for 2 Publican Awards in 2020, winning the award for ‘Best Managed Pub Company - 2-50 sites’ on the night. Our teams play a pivotal role in creating an eclectic mix of unique establishments all with a friendly atmosphere, delicious food and great service all at the heart of what we value. Ensuring each site’s valued position within its local community.

Role Overview:

As part of the New Openings General Manager Team, you will play a crucial role in the successful setup and launch of our new establishments across London. Collaborating closely with the Operations Team, you will manage, oversee, and support the training and operations setup for each opening, ensuring they deliver exceptional service and embody our brand values.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the launch of new sites, coordinating efforts across key departments including Recruitment, Learning & Development, and Operations.
• Ensure a strong focus on people and culture, fostering collaboration and teamwork among departments.
• Develop and implement training programs to prepare staff for successful openings.
• Maintain a high-quality hospitality standard throughout the setup process.
• Travel weekly to various locations to oversee and support new openings.

Requirements:

• A genuine passion for hospitality and a strong understanding of the guest journey.
• Proven experience in a similar role, with a background in operations and new openings across the pub sector.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams across departments.
• Strong experience in the pub sector and a commitment to delivering quality service.
