Head Pastry Chef
Urban Caprice

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and creative Head Pastry Chef to join the highly acclaimed Urban Caprice.

Urban Caprice is our top London catering company with bespoke menus for every event, so there is always change and variety. We cater for small events of 10 guests up to sit down dinners and food bars for 800 plus. Additionally, we also represent some of London’s most prestigious and iconic restaurants through our parent company, Caprice Holdings.

As Head Pastry Chef you will:
• Have a passion for creating high quality desserts with the ability to show creativity and meet the needs of our clients
• A desire to continuously learn and develop your pastry skills.
• Take responsibility for the effective execution of the dishes for the event
• Execute all events from small canapé receptions of 50 guests to large sit down dinners up to 100 plus guests, to a high standard
• Ensure consistent presentation and the highest standards are achieved at all times.
• Be able to develop the more junior chefs and work effectively with freelance / agency chefs.
• Daily supervising of the freelance and temporary chefs both at the kitchen and onsite at events.
• Effectively communicate across all sections of the kitchen.
• Comply with all health & safety and food safety policies and procedures.
• Work closely with the Executive Chef

We are ideally looking for candidates who:
• Are currently a Head Pastry Chef, or highly experienced Pastry Sous Chef
• Ideally come from an event catering background and understand the upper end of the market
• Be passionate about delivering high quality pastry dishes using the finest ingredients
• An excellent team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude
• Working within budgets and schedules
• Be a clear communicator and enjoy being part of a team
