Experienced Bartender & Barista – Urban Reef

Urban Reef is looking for an experienced, passionate Bartender & Barista to join our vibrant beachfront restaurant, bar. This is a hands-on role within a busy, high-energy venue. We are looking for someone who enjoys creating exceptional drinks, engaging with guests and maintaining high standards throughout every service.

Applicants must have a minimum of two years’ experience working behind a busy bar, including cocktail preparation and barista service.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and serving a consistently high standard of cocktails, beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks
• Using strong spirits knowledge to recommend, explain and upsell premium products, classic cocktails and serves to guests
• Making classic cocktails accurately, while confidently following Urban Reef’s cocktail specifications and presentation standards
• Producing excellent barista-style coffee, including espresso-based drinks, milk texturing and latte art
• Maintaining consistency in coffee quality, presentation and speed during busy breakfast, lunch and evening services
• Delivering warm, knowledgeable and professional service to every guest
• Keeping the bar clean, organised, fully stocked and ready for service at all times
• Completing opening, closing, cleaning and stock procedures to a high standard
• Supporting the bar team and wider front-of-house team during busy periods
• Helping to create a positive, professional and enjoyable team environment

What we are looking for:

• At least two years’ experience in cocktail making and barista service
• Strong knowledge of spirits, cocktail classics, garnishes and drink presentation
• Confidence in making espresso-based coffee, texturing milk and producing latte art
• A genuine interest in drinks, hospitality and providing excellent guest experiences
• The ability to work calmly, efficiently and accurately under pressure
• A positive, reliable and proactive attitude
• Excellent personal presentation and communication skills
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays
