Your responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the team during service, allocating sections and delegating tasks
  • Keep communication clear between front of house, kitchen and bar
  • Make sure guests are welcomed, looked after and kept informed throughout their visit
  • Handle guest feedback and resolve issues calmly and professionally
  • Support team training, coach colleagues and help new starters settle in
  • Complete opening, closing and shift handover duties
  • Monitor bookings, table flow and service pace
  • Check that the restaurant, bar and service areas are clean, presentable and ready for guests
  • Follow health and safety, food hygiene, allergen and licensing procedures
  • Ensure required checks and records are completed, and report hazards, accidents or maintenance issues
  • Support cash handling, stock checks and other shift administration as needed
  • Work with the management team to maintain a positive, supportive working environment

What we’re looking for

  • Previous experience supervising or managing shifts in a busy restaurant or hospitality venue
  • A hands-on leader who can motivate a team and stay composed during busy service
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • A strong focus on guest service and attention to detail
  • A good understanding of health and safety, food hygiene and allergen awareness
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as part of a hospitality rota

well-run experience for every guest, we’d love to hear from you.
