Role Summary

  As a Barback at Vandelay Hospitality Group, you play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless and exceptional bar experience for our guests. You will support our bartenders and service staff by maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar while anticipating the needs of both guests and team members. Your dedication to efficiency, cleanliness, and teamwork helps create a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere where guests can relax and enjoy their experience.  


Responsibilities:

  • Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of the bar and service areas.
  • Assist bartenders with stocking and replenishing bar supplies, including liquor, mixers, ice, and glassware.
  • Support bartenders by preparing garnishes, changing kegs, and ensuring all bar stations are fully equipped.
  • Run beverages from the bar to guest tables, ensuring accuracy and timely service.
  • Clear and reset bar tops, removing used glassware and cleaning surfaces to maintain a pristine environment.
  • Assist in running food from the kitchen to guest tables as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with bartenders, servers, and hosts to ensure smooth service.
  • Perform general cleaning tasks to uphold health and safety standards.
  • Follow all alcohol service regulations and company policies.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Requirements:

  • Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.
  • Team player with a strong sense of punctuality and reliability.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive, professional, and respectful attitude
  • Be able to safely lift up to 50 pounds and easily maneuver plates, cases of water, chairs, linen and dining room tables

  • State required serving age (varies by state); TABC Certification, as required

  • Certified for food and alcohol service as is required by State and Local Agencies
