Ice cream scooper, baristas & supervisors

We are opening a new store on Ludlow street, NY and are looking for store supervisors, part time scoopers & Baristas.

Van Leeuwen Artisan Ice Cream is a growing Brooklyn-based ice cream and vegan ice cream company. We focus on using the best possible ingredients to create traditional and experimental flavors and desserts that we serve in our ice cream shops throughout Brooklyn, Manhattan and Los Angeles. We strive to provide world class customer service in a unique retail environment, where customers and team members are treated with respect and where happiness for all is the ultimate goal.

We serve Toby's Estate coffee and pride ourselves on serving some of the best coffee in NYC! We are dedicated to cultivating awesome baristas and have both external and internal training programs.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR STORES
* Food Service Experience
* Barista Experience strongly preferred
* Latte art and espresso knowledge a major plus
* Open Availability (mornings, evenings, weekends)
* Trustworthy, Organized, Excellent Communication Skills
* Ability to effectively work well as part of the team and autonomously
* Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
* Exceptionally high standards for cleanliness.
* Current Food Handlers Certificate (or willingness to obtain upon hire)

TEAM MEMBER BRIEF
* Represent the Van Leeuwen brand
* Maintain high standards of our current and growing ice cream, pastry and coffee program.
* Follow all store protocols and rules.
* Effectively communicate with other team members, owners and manager.
* Maintain systems to ensure a clean and tidy store at all times.
* Sound food handling and cleaning practices.
* Work happily and respectfully as part of the team, show initiative when needed.
* Promote an environment of fun, kindness and respect.
