About the Opportunity

Vandelay Hospitality Group is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Interior Designer. This is an exciting opportunity to work on elevated, design-forward spaces in a fast-paced, team driven environment. You’ll play a critical role in bringing our brand vision to life—from concept to completion—across our growing portfolio of restaurant concepts.

Key Responsibilities
·       Design and develop interior environments for high-end restaurants, from concept through final installation
·       Source and style FF&E, and create comprehensive FF&E schedules, procurement plans, and manage logistics
·       Create and redline detailed drawing sets, including floor plans, elevations, millwork details, and sections using AutoCAD.
·       Make independent site visits for field measurements, documentation, and design coordination
·       Build professional grade design presentations that communicate vision and design intent
·       Collaborate with cross functional teams including operations, architecture, and construction
·       Maintain strong organization and prioritization across multiple concurrent projects
·       Participate in project timelines, workflow schedules, and design review sessions
·       Maintain an organized design library and manage sample requests and deliveries
·       Stay up on design trends and push creative boundaries while honoring the brand aesthetic
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from a CIDA-accredited 4-year Interior Design program, highly preferred

3 to 6 years of experience at an architectural or interior design firm with a focus on hospitality or restaurant design
Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Acrobat), Lumion or Enscape
Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate design intent visually and verbally
Proven ability to independently manage design phases from schematic through installation
Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask and pivot between projects
Comfortable working at a computer 80% of the time, with occasional hands-on site involvement
Must be willing to travel (15%)
Bonus: Experience with hand sketched renderings and/or Procore or similar construction management software
