About the Opportunity

As a Manager in Training with Vandelay Hospitality Group, you’ll embark on an immersive development program designed to prepare you for a leadership career in hospitality. This hands-on role places you at the heart of our operations, where you will learn directly from seasoned leaders, gain exposure to all facets of restaurant management, and develop the skills needed to inspire teams and deliver unforgettable guest experiences. This program offers a unique opportunity for soon-to-be or recent graduates to step into a fast-paced environment and grow into a leadership role within one of the country’s most dynamic hospitality groups.

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Learn and support daily restaurant operations alongside experienced leaders
  • Develop a strong understanding of Vandelay Hospitality Group’s standards for hospitality, service, and food quality
  • Engage with guests to ensure memorable dining experiences and handle guest concerns with professionalism
  • Participate in interviewing, hiring, training, and onboarding team members
  • Assist in conducting pre-shift meetings and supporting team communication
  • Gain exposure to staff scheduling, inventory management, and financial reporting
  • Support execution of reservations, special occasions, and large-party events
  • Ensure food safety, sanitation, and service standards are consistently upheld
  • Collaborate with managers on administrative responsibilities and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field preferred (or anticipated within the year)
  • Previous hospitality/restaurant experience is a plus but not required
  • Demonstrated leadership potential with strong interpersonal skills
  • Positive attitude, adaptability, and a genuine passion for hospitality
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Open to feedback and committed to professional development
