For the first time since Fuller’s ownership began, The Victoria in Paddington is looking for a new General Manager. After 23 remarkable years as custodian, Chris Cochran is handing over the reins of a pub that is not just successful, but a true institution in its community. With a loyal customer base and a core team who are integral to the pub’s years of success.

This stunning listed pub occupies a wonderful location close to Paddington and a stones throw from Hyde Park, operating over 2 Floors full of charm and character, with a bar / flexible dining on the ground floor, whilst the Library and the Theatre Bar areas are used for diners, larger tables and small functions, along with a very popular outside terrace. Whilst frequented by tourists, there are many regulars, who form a key important part of the success of the pub, known by name to the team.

Turnover is 56/44 food led, with average weekly turnover of £49,000. The business peaks with the festivals in Hyde Park, however this is a consistent business which trades well all year. With perfect standards, the best Cask ale and wonderful fresh food, exciting specials all playing such a key role along with exceptional hospitality.


We’re searching for a General Manager who:

·       Will relish the opportunity this iconic site and take it forward

·       Leads from the floor, the perfect Host - especially at peak times, building trust with guests and team

·       Can drive performance through detail: standards, right people, right place, right time and guest experience

·       Values team culture, coaching and development

·       Brings ideas to grow covers and volumes without losing the pub’s soul

·       Lives Fuller’s values, doing what’s right and being part of the family

The position is live in and comes with 3-bedroom flat. This role would suit an existing General Manager looking for their next challenge.
