Let's be completely honest. Running a 4,000-member leisure club is an incredibly rewarding job, but it certainly keeps you on your toes! If you are looking for a standard desk job, this might not be the one for you. We are looking for a Leisure Operations Manager who genuinely loves being out on the floor, getting stuck in, and leading a brilliant team at Village.

A Realistic Look at the Role We believe in leading by example, which means being right there alongside your team. Yes, there is admin to tackle, and you will play a key part in hitting our commercial targets, but your true happy place will be out in the club.

You will be helping to keep the facilities spotless (we all grab a cloth when needed!), sitting poolside to supervise, and acting as the first point of contact for maintenance. When things break that we cannot fix ourselves, you are the one reporting it, chasing contractors, and ensuring a quick resolution so our members never miss a beat.

The Logistics of Leisure To give you a clear picture of your week, this is a 40-hour contract working 5 days out of 7. Leisure hours naturally mean a variety of shifts. These can range from a 4:30 am opening to an 11:00 pm close, and weekends are very much part of the rhythm.

However, our Leisure Club Manager, Kyle, runs with a brilliant "work to live, not live to work" mentality. We understand you have a life outside these walls, so when the business demands a wee bit more of your time, we ensure you get that time back. Flexibility works both ways here.

What We Are Looking For

• The People Person: With 4,000 members, the pace is quick! You are calm under pressure, brilliant at handling member feedback gracefully, and are the confident, friendly face everyone turns to.

• The Technical Stuff: You must be proficient in pool plant operations. You also need to be sharp on Health and Safety, assisting with risk assessments, COSHH, and keeping our standards sky-high.

• The Leadership: You know how to coach, train, and engage your Leisure Team Leaders and Group Fitness teams. You know how to run shifts that are highly productive but still have a real sense of fun.
