The Role Outline: Your Focus at a GlanceThis is not your standard back-office finance role. Your focus is to support our Head of Financial Controls & Reporting in keeping our commercial engine running safely and sharply. You are the guardian of our financial governance, making sure we meet all our statutory, tax, and regulatory obligations without slowing down our fast-paced hospitality operations. This role is a brilliant mix of precise number-crunching and big-picture strategy, working closely with the Finance Director, Treasury, and the Village Exec Team.

Your Working Week: What You’ll Actually Be DoingAs our Finance Lead, you are a crucial player at Cygnet Court. We trust you to handle:
- Financial Mastery: Reviewing and approving brilliant financial disclosures and supporting group reporting requirements and consolidation processes.
- Tax & Compliance: Overseeing all corporate tax compliance, managing VAT and other indirect tax filings, and staying ten steps ahead of tax legislation changes so our business is always prepared.
- Audit & Governance: Co-leading the year-end audit alongside the Head of Management Accounts, supporting regulatory inspections, and ensuring strict adherence to corporate governance standards.
- System Innovation: We do not just do things the way they have always been done. You will drive improvements and support automation enhancements related to financial reporting to make us significantly more efficient.
