Overview:
The Waiter/Waitress provides excellent customer service by ensuring that guests have a pleasant dining experience. This role involves taking accurate food and beverage orders, delivering orders promptly, and addressing any guest needs or concerns in a friendly and professional manner. The ideal candidate is attentive, efficient, and passionate about providing high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and present menus, providing detailed information about menu items, daily specials, and promotions.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately, ensuring any dietary restrictions or special requests are communicated to the kitchen staff.
- Serve orders promptly and check in with guests to ensure satisfaction, refilling beverages as needed.
- Process payments efficiently, handle cash and credit card transactions, and ensure accurate billing.
- Clear and clean tables between courses and after meals, setting tables for the next guests promptly.
- Address any guest concerns or complaints calmly and professionally, seeking to resolve issues to the guest's satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area, following health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely service and assist colleagues when needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Waiter/Waitress or in a customer service role is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
Working Conditions:
