Delivery Driver, WatchHouse.
WatchHouse is an industry leading group of specialty coffee houses across London, with a flagship House in the heart of the Cotswolds - Bath. From our Roastery and Central Production Unit (CPU) in the heart of Bermondsey, we roast all of our own coffee and create all our food items from sauces to sandwiches. Our delivery drivers ensure that every one of our houses has freshly roasted coffee and handmade food delivered directly to them every single day. This position is designed to assist with the end-to-end creation, production and delivery of WatchHouse coffee and food. Delivering all of this to our Houses on time and safely is a logistical challenge, which requires great care and a can-do attitude.
Key aspects of the role:
Delivering food, coffee and other required goods to our locations in a timely and accurate manner.
Assisting with the delivery of packaging and non-consumables to our Houses.
Following planned routes and using navigational tools to ensure efficient and timely deliveries.
Operating in a safe manner, in line with all relevant laws, regulations and industry best practices.
Proactively communicating to line managers and Houses in the event of delays, issues or route changes.
Being the face of the WatchHouse logistics team – acting professionally, building positive relationships with other teams and managers in our Houses.
Working as part of the team at the CPU, supporting WatchHouse as a whole.
Key requirements:
Must have a full, clean UK/EU driving license
At least one year of experience as a delivery driver, ideally within London
Candidates must be able to work any 5 in 7 on a rotating shift pattern, including both AM (05:30am – 13:30pm) and PM (15:00pm – 23:00pm) shifts
A can-do attitude, willing to support others and the wider team
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in time-critical environments
Have high attention to detail and diligence
Key desirables:
Experience within hospitality or food and drink sector
An awareness of Food Safety and hygiene
Experience working as part of a team
Ability to solve problems at short notice
Starting time: Immediate start
Licence: Must have full UK/EU licence. License must be clean (no penalty points). We reserve the right to conduct license checks at regular intervals.
Wage: £13.90 p/hour + share of tronc (up to £2 extra per hour)
