Roastery Assistant at WatchHouse. 

At WatchHouse, we’re redefining the Modern Coffee Experience - crafting exceptional coffee with care, precision, and purpose. Our Roastery and Coffee Lab in Bermondsey sits at the heart of it all, where our passion for quality and innovation comes to life.

We’re looking for a Roastery Assistant to join our growing team. This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for someone eager to learn more about coffee production and get hands-on in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You’ll play a key role in supporting the roastery’s daily operations - from weighing, packing, and preparing orders to working closely with our expert roasting team.

This full-time role is based at 36 Maltby Street, working 40 hours per week, including some weekends, with start times that vary depending on the needs of the business. 

Directly reports into: Roastery Manager. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • You will be responsible for packing roasted coffee for retail customers and shops. 

  • You will support the team with fulfilling E-commerce orders including grinding, packing and labelling orders. 

  • Restocking the roastery for production days. 

  • You will assist in preparing production and weighing out green coffee.  

  • Support with loading and delivering coffee into our van. 

  • Maintain a clean and efficient working roastery space. 

  • You’ll support with any ad-hoc duties as outlined by the Roastery Manager as and when required for the business.

  • You must be comfortable with regular heavy lifting and knowing your limits. 

  • Moving coffee sacks pallets once delivery arrives. 

  • Keen interest to learn how to Roast using our Roaster Probat.
