Dispatch Operative – WatchHouse Roastery & Coffee Lab, Maltby Street

We’re now looking for a highly organised and proactive Dispatch Operative to join our growing team. This is a pivotal role in ensuring that every bag of coffee and every order leaves the roastery efficiently, accurately, and with the care and attention to detail that defines WatchHouse. You’ll take ownership of dispatch operations, manage stock, and collaborate closely with our roasting and production teams to keep everything running smoothly.
This full-time role is based at 36 Maltby Street, working 40 hours per week, including some weekends, with start times that vary depending on the needs of the business.
Directly reports into: Roastery Manager.
Key Responsibilities
House Orders: Manage and fulfil all house (wholesale) customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Goods In & Out: Receive deliveries, check and process incoming stock, and prepare outgoing shipments.
Stock Management: Carry out regular stock takes of SKUs across retail and house categories; maintain accurate records and report discrepancies.
Dispatch Ownership: Oversee all aspects of dispatch operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to internal processes.
Packing Orders: Carefully pick, pack, and prepare boxes for dispatch, ensuring products are presented professionally and securely.
Quality & Accuracy: Double-check all orders before dispatch to minimise errors and maintain excellent customer satisfaction.
Collaboration: Work closely with the roasting, production, and customer service teams to ensure order accuracy and smooth operations.
Health & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment in line with company policies.
Point of Contact for Houses: Act as the communication link between the roastery and our Houses regarding ordering, dispatch, and stock concerns.
