Description

Kitchen Porter – Water Lane Boathouse (25-35 hours per week)

Water Lane Boathouse is looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team as we head into a busy period.

Located along the Leeds–Liverpool Canal, we’re a lively independent venue serving great food alongside craft beers and cocktails. Our kitchen is fast-paced, friendly, and team-focused, and the Kitchen Porter plays a vital role in keeping everything running smoothly.

As a Kitchen Porter, you’ll support the chefs by maintaining cleanliness and organisation throughout the kitchen, ensuring high hygiene standards, and helping with basic prep when needed.

The role includes:
  • Washing dishes, pots, and kitchen equipment

  • Keeping the kitchen, storage areas, and wash-up area clean and organised

  • Supporting chefs with basic food prep when required

  • Following food safety and hygiene standards at all times

  • Working as part of a close-knit kitchen team

We’re looking for someone who:
  • Is reliable, punctual, and hard-working

  • Can work well in a fast-paced environment

  • Has a positive attitude and good team spirit

  • Previous KP experience is a bonus, but not essential

Benefits:
  • 25/35 hours per week

  • A growing business with opportunities to progress

  • Working for an exciting independent venue

  • Regular team nights out and trips abroad

  • Incentives including free festival and gig tickets

If you’re looking for steady hours, a supportive team, and a great place to work, we’d love to hear from you.
