Commis Chef (Fixed-term Seasonal)
Up to 36 hours per week

As a commis chef at The Wave you will be part of a successful & growing business that delivers fantastic food, gives an amazing customer experience. Working with the head chef you will achieve this with through playing your part in an amazing team, being engaged and empowered to ensure we provide the best experience to our visitors each and every time.

Our f&b area can seat 300+ visitors (inside and out) and will be a high-volume operation. We’ll be feeding and watering super hungry visitors pre & post surf and also those that have come to watch and hang out in our amazing venue.

What you’ll be up to
• Understanding our recipes, and how to produce them.
• Following the production levels (prep list) to ensure full menu availability at all times.
• Keeping an eye on departmental KPI’s (e.g. stock management, portion control and wastage)

• Creating food to spec.
• Adopting a “clean as you go” approach, ensuring your work space is always clean and organised.
• Following kitchen open and closing procedures.
• Food & kitchen safety.
