We are now seeking an experienced and passionate Spa Manager to lead our team at The Relais Cooden Beach Spa and are especially excited to introduce our new Beachfront Spa with Hot Tub, Sauna and Chill tub.

The Role

This is a hands-on, highly visible leadership position where you will shape the entire spa experience. As Spa Manager, you will oversee daily operations, lead and inspire your team, and ensure every guest journey, from arrival to departure is seamless, personalised, and memorable.

You will work closely with the Hotel Manager and wider operational teams to maintain exceptional service standards, optimise performance, and create a positive, engaged team culture.

Key Responsibilities

Spa Operations

  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the spa, including treatment rooms, retail, and relaxation areas
  • Ensure all treatments are delivered to the highest standards, on time and with attention to detail
  • Optimise scheduling to maximise occupancy and minimise downtime
  • Maintain strong interdepartmental communication across the hotel
  • Act as a key point of contact for guests, resolving issues professionally and efficiently
  • Managing the Spa booking platforms and package products
  • Managing supplier relationships

Guest Experience & Service Excellence

  • Lead by example in delivering outstanding, personalised guest service
  • Drive guest satisfaction through attention to detail and wellness expertise
  • Monitor feedback and implement improvements to enhance the spa experience
  • Contribute to repeat business, positive reviews, and overall reputation

People & Culture

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing spa team
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and accountable working environment
  • Manage rotas effectively to meet business demands
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training
  • Encourage growth, confidence, and career progression within the team with regular reviews and appraisals

Commercial & Systems

  • Maximise revenue through upselling, promotions, and effective scheduling
  • Ensure accurate use of booking systems and POS procedures
  • Manage stock levels, retail displays, and treatment room readiness
  • Monitor labour costs in line with business needs

Compliance & Standards

  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety, hygiene, and data protection regulations
  • Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation
  • Uphold guest safety, privacy, and comfort at all times
