Roles and Responsibilities
To
manage and oversee company’s restaurants development from site survey and design
to procurement and construction, 20+ units in less 3 years. While supporting franchisees with their
restaurant’s development 6-15 units per year.
This position requires the ability of overseeing multiple high-profile
projects, build a contractors and suppliers network and manage several
consultants.
To deliver the timely
completion of the Wendy’s restaurants aligned with the Wendy’s mission to
deliver “A Cut Above” restaurant ensuring a differentiated and relevant
experience with strong brand awareness.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Capcom Approval - Assists Real Estate and Ops
personnel with preliminary site investigations, budgeting and design to
determine feasibility for Capital Approval Committee presentation.
- Design / Permitting – Assist managing the design
and permitting process with local AOR, securing brand compliant construction
documents and all necessary compliant permits and variances for new
construction and renovations.
- Supply chain support – Research, validate and
approve local supplier for building materials, FF&E and kitchen equipment,
building suppliers relations to support fast restaurant development, minimizing
cost and schedule impacts.
- Bidding / Award – Manage the bidding process
from pre-qualification and preparing scopes to tender and bid leveling. Selecting the contractors based on competency
and value, and building lasting contractor network.

Schedule management and reporting – Prepare
biweekly projects’ progress update reports including all project phases
(Company owned and franchised units).
Prepare physical and financial schedule for company units for long term
disbursement plan.

QA/QC – Performs regular on-site reviews;
monitors and manages contractor scheduling and quality of work; identifies and
communicates substandard workmanship and/or scheduling issues to contractor for
immediate resolution. Manages
deficiencies/warranty resolution to project closeout.
- Cost management – Project cost management
including all contracts and PO management, change orders, weekly reporting, pay
application review and project financial closeout.
- Franchisee relationship management – Work with the
franchisee’s construction, design and operations teams during the design, construction
and post construction phases, scheduling and facilitating the necessary coordination
meetings and tracking key projects milestones.
- Franchisee education - Coaches franchisees
through the execution of their development projects. This will involve conveying knowledge of
Wendy's design requirements, providing lists of approved resources, and lending
expertise to any part of the development process that the franchisee doesn't
understand. It requires strong customer
service skills as well as time management expertise.
- Franchisee cost management and VE support – Work
with the franchisee construction team on budget reviews and value engineering
support should it be necessary. Collect
and report detailed cost information per Wendy’s standards.

in developing processes, best practices and project management manuals,
reporting tools and others
