· Researching markets to identify opportunities for events
· Producing detailed proposals for events (e.g. timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing and budgets)
· Liaising with clients to create a look for the event; (cooperate with Head Chef, Restaurant and Bar Manager)
· Coordinating everything on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly (handling client queries, exhibitor, and visitor problems)
· Do daily room checks to ensure that the rooms are presentable for any incoming guests or if we have any walk-ins, show arounds, etc
· Assist in marketing promotion; creating ideas for the design, flyers, catalogues and sales brochures
· Coordinating suppliers, handling client queries and troubleshooting on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly
· Post-event evaluation (including data entry and analysis and producing reports)
· Prepare function sheets on a weekly basis and distribute to HODs and relevant departments
· Chair events meeting once a week with Kitchen, FOH and Ops Manager to discuss upcoming events
· Answering all email and phone queries (private dining/ corporate meetings)
· Ensure that venue rooms are maintained
· Create with Chef seasonal menus
· Arrange tastings if necessary
· Creating a Calendar of Events for the entire year.
· Manage top accounts (Event Agencies, Corporate guests who use the private rooms regularly, Private guests who use the private rooms regularly)
· Ensure all new clients are welcomed at least upon their first visit
· Create packages that fit your guests needs
· Carry out billing of all events that need to invoiced
· Ensure that each event is followed up with an email within one week
· File all events under the correct month and ensure the revenue for each event is entered against the budget
· Keep in constant communication with various departments to ensure they are aware of all changes and amendments to events

·You will have some experience of working in a restaurant or hotel managing their events
·Possess a friendly personality and excellent customer service skills
