Wilfie & Nell opened in 2008 in a historic building was once home to the original Jack the Ripper pub; it has a long, storied past in the West Village's eclectic creative community. The bar carries on the neighborhood's tradition of uniting artists, musicians, writers and everyday folks in a cozy and inviting atmosphere with great drinks and satisfying food by Chef Russell Ashton. Wilfie & Nell has been lauded by the New Yorker and the New York Times, which calls it "a bar for eating and flirting" where "the simplest food [is] the most satisfying." Thrillist describes it as a "compact & homey West Village space" where "there's no pretension and reservations aren't accepted, so come as you are, mingle, and be flexible." New York Magazine applauds the bar’s “pedigreed pub grub,” noting that “everything on [the menu]…exceeds expectations.”

Wilfie & Nell is part of Sleeping Giant NY (harri.com/sleeping-giant-ny), a family of independently operated bars united by a shared work culture and the chance for employees to grow and explore opportunities across different locations.
