Description
We are currently recruiting for a Junior Sommelier to join our team at 67 Pall Mall, the founding location of our Members’ Club in the heart of St. James’s, London.
Founded by wine lovers, for wine lovers, 67 Pall Mall is home to the world’s finest wine list and a Membership dedicated to discovering and enjoying exceptional wines.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our talented Sommelier team. Led by our European Head of Wine, Kathrine Larsen-Robert MS, you will work alongside some of the finest sommeliers in the world, taste extraordinary wines on a daily basis, and take part in events with key figures from across the wine industry.
Role & Responsibilities
As a Junior Sommelier, you will:
- Assist Senior Sommeliers in ensuring outstanding service for our Members.
- Support daily operations by following opening and closing procedures.
- Ensure the mise en place for the Lounge and Clubroom is ready for service.
- Attend and actively contribute to service briefings.
- Support the senior wine team with pre- and post-service duties.
- Deliver an exceptional wine service to Members and their guests.
- Assist with private and Club events, upholding the highest service standards.
- Act as an ambassador for the Club by maintaining excellent relationships with Members, suppliers, and winemakers.
- Handle and serve wines exclusively using Zalto glassware, ensuring the highest level of care.
- Take food orders when required and ensure the correct timing between food and wine service, working closely with the restaurant team to deliver a seamless dining experience.
- Develop knowledge of the Club’s food offering to confidently advise Members on food & wine pairings.
