People Partner – South & London
£55,000–£60,000 DOE + Benefits + Bonus + LTIP Programme
Permanent | Full-time | Field-based across London & the South
At Wingstop, we're not just in the chicken business, we're in the flavour business. We're here to deliver exceptional experiences and memorable moments, for our customers and our teams.
And we're growing fast.
Recognised in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work in 2024, 2025 and 2026, named the UK's Number 1 QSR Brand in 2025, and home to Deliveroo's Number 1 Dish in 2025, we're building something special. Now, we're looking for a commercially minded People Partner who knows how to make great things happen in a fast-paced, multi-site hospitality business.
If you love being close to the action, building relationships with operational leaders and turning people insight into real business impact, this could be the role for you.
About the roleThis isn't a desk-based HR role. It's a genuinely field-based position, partnering with our restaurant teams and operational leaders across London and the South, covering approximately 50 restaurants.
You'll spend time out in the business, getting to know our people, understanding what's happening on the ground and working alongside our Market, District and Restaurant Managers to make a tangible difference. You'll need to be comfortable travelling regularly across the region, building relationships face-to-face and adapting your approach to the needs of each restaurant and its leadership team.
You'll be a trusted partner to the operation, combining strong commercial thinking with sound people judgement. From coaching managers and navigating complex employee relations cases to using data to identify trends, improve retention and strengthen leadership capability, you'll help turn our people strategy into action.
We're looking for someone who understands the realities of a fast-moving, customer-facing environment. Someone who can build credibility with operational teams, challenge constructively, roll their sleeves up and balance the pace of the business with doing the right thing for our people.
What you'll be doingPartnering on the ground: Building strong relationships with Market, District and Restaurant Managers, spending time in restaurants and understanding the challenges and opportunities across your region.
Driving commercial performance: Connecting people priorities to business results, using insight to improve retention, engagement, leadership effectiveness and overall restaurant performance.
Being the go-to for ER: Managing complex and sensitive employee relations cases, providing pragmatic advice and coaching managers to handle issues confidently and consistently.
Making data count: Turning people metrics and trends into clear actions, challenging assumptions and helping leaders make better-informed decisions.
Building leadership capability: Coaching and influencing managers at all levels, strengthening leadership behaviours and raising the bar on people management.
Improving how we work: Challenging the status quo, identifying opportunities to improve people practices and driving consistency across a growing multi-site operation.
Bringing our values to life: Embedding our values of Authentic, Entrepreneurial, Fun and Service-Minded in everyday decisions, behaviours and experiences.
Supporting our people agenda: Championing engagement, DEI, wellbeing and psychological safety, ensuring our teams feel supported, included and able to thrive.
Supporting growth and change: Working closely with the wider People team and operational leaders to deliver change, maintain compliance and support the continued growth of Wingstop UK&I.
We're keen to hear from people who understand the pace and pressures of a multi-site, customer-facing business, ideally from hospitality, QSR, casual dining, restaurants, pubs or a similar operational environment.
You'll bring:
Experience as a People Partner, HR Business Partner or in a comparable operational HR role.
Experience partnering with multi-site operational leaders, ideally across restaurants, hospitality or another fast-paced customer-facing business.
Strong employee relations knowledge and the confidence to navigate complex cases while coaching managers to build their own capability.
A hands-on, commercially minded approach, with an understanding of how people decisions affect operational performance, retention, cost and customer experience.
The confidence to influence, challenge and build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret people data, identify trends and turn insight into practical action.
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and the ability to balance strategic thinking with getting stuck into the detail.
A genuine passion for engagement, inclusion, wellbeing and great leadership.
CIPD Level 5 qualification, or working towards it. This is desirable, not essential.
Most importantly, you'll be comfortable being out and about across the region. You'll enjoy spending time in our restaurants, partnering with leaders face-to-face and building relationships with the teams you support. This role requires regular travel, so a full UK driving licence and the ability to travel across London and the South are important.
Why Wingstop? We believe in rewarding our people, investing in their development and giving them the opportunity to make an impact.
Here's what you can expect:
Bonus and LTIP: A generous annual bonus scheme and a long-term incentive programme, both linked to business performance.
25 days' holiday plus bank holidays: Time to recharge.
Enhanced pension contributions: Helping you plan for the future.
Private healthcare: Including Vitality at Work perks.
Enhanced family leave: Additional maternity and paternity support.
Enhanced sickness benefit: Two weeks' full pay within a rolling 12-month period.
EV salary sacrifice scheme: Available after three months of service.
Learning and development: Opportunities to build your skills and progress your career.
Flexible pay: Access to earned wages through Stream.
Everyday savings: Access to retail, dining and wellbeing discounts.
Wingstop perks: Enjoy 20–50% off when dining with friends and family.
Team events and recognition: Opportunities to celebrate success and connect with the wider business.
A proper welcome: A Wingstop welcome pack to get you started.
You'll be joining a growing business where things move quickly, ideas are welcomed and great people make a genuine difference.
Commitment to diversity and inclusionWe celebrate individuality and are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone can bring their whole self to work. We're an equal-opportunity employer and want our recruitment process to be accessible to all. If you need any adjustments, just let us know.
A note on AIWe know AI is a handy tool, and plenty of candidates use it. That's fine, but we want you, not an AI-flavoured version of you. Applications and interview tasks that lean too heavily on AI won't give us a true sense of who you are. Bring your real voice and your real experience. That's who we're excited to meet.
Ready to bring the flavour? Apply now.
